Years ago, when I first started learning about #bitcoin, I loved the idea that it returned rewards to people who do real work instead of experts at gaming the financialiization of the markets. I disliked rent seekers and finally here was a monetary system that set things right.
Now, a few weeks into learning #nostr and I'm getting the same feeling about rent seekers in the attention economy and I love it.
When it comes to corrupt systems, I never liked the idea that you had to join them to beat them. The power to opt out and just use decentralized fair systems, while ignoring the legacy systems, is an option worth talking about!
