Yeah I’m not at the [Redacted for legal reasons] stage with my kids.
But I am not raising children, I am raising adults that can exist without needing to fear me to function as moral beings.
I will not always be here, they will have to make choices for themselves, and they have to be equiped to do so, which also means they may make suboptimal choices and bear some consequence, God knows I did and I have the scars.
It’s not weakness, it’s understanding my limitations.
