Up til now my goal has been more overall improvement, fat loss, etc. In short, the past decade I let myself slide from being in the best shape I’d ever been in to being sorely out of shape and facing high blood pressure issues. Started turning that around last year and really locked over the past few months. So far just body weight exercises and light cardio along with a much stricter nutritional approach. Fat has been melting off and blood pressure is consistently in a great range now. I’ve been thinking to start adding in some heavier weight lifting, though, so your post here is good motivation to get me doing that.
