If you still have the former you can avoid full balance recovery:
1. Send your balance from the old one to another wallet for a while
2. Keep your seed safe and uninstall
3. Install latest wallet on new device, accept updates if any
4. Send your balance to the new one
5. Use your seed, but choose "Recover wallet address" from recovery options
