I’m calling out my own bullshit. This old essay describing some of my experience going to a boarding school is accurate right up to the conclusion.
But that conclusion is just some feel-good bullshit my wetware LLM selected as reflecting the image I wanted to convey. In reality, there are a lot of complicated lessons one learns in a weirdly privileged institutional setting, and nothing is going to be quite so pat as "the most important lesson."
